-Hey everyone, check out the new releases from Westport Rivers!
Boston, MA - Westport Rivers Vineyard and Winery unveils six new vintages to their line of internationally acclaimed wines and sparkling wines this spring. They include: 2003 Chardonnay, 2002 Brut, 1998 Blanc de Blanc, 2000 Blanc de Noir, 2005 Rose and the limited release 2005 Proprietary White. As flagships, the Brut, Cuvée, Chardonnay and Rose will be available throughout New England, in Upstate New York, throughout New Jersey, London and Ireland. Of course all wines are available at the winery. Each wine has been hand crafted by the award winning team of brothers Rob and Bill Russell. As Vineyard Manager, Rob maintains the vines on the entire property, and as Winemaker, Bill continues to hand craft his award winning wines using traditional cool climate winemaking techniques. Since taking over the well worn reins from their parents, Bob and Carol Russell, Rob and Bill uphold the time honored traditions their parents instilled in them since the first harvest in 1989. Located in Southeastern Massachusetts with over 80 acres of 100% vinifera vines, Westport is the largest winery in the New England. Overlooking Buzzards Bay and in close proximity to the Atlantic ocean, Westport’s soil and cool climate help to create their award winning wines. As they have always been, most wines are 100% fermented in stainless steel, keeping the focus on the character of each wine. Very little or no oak is used in the ageing process at Westport. “I’m thrilled to be releasing these wines!” gushed Bill Russell. “We pride ourselves on producing wines of character and style and all of these are remarkably food friendly and will enhance any dining experience” he continued.
